36D4:DME, internal error, control Valvetronic: Malfunction

2D43:Valvetronic, adjustment range: Fault range check.

2DE3:valvetronic servomotor,activation, volt phase: line disconnection

2D44:Valvetronic system,adjustment range deviates from the original

After the perform valvetronic system initialization for extreme position,but it prompt initialization failure and it show 36D4 trouble code 58 times in system.Mechanic indicate that DME maybe damaged.

1.Replace valvetronic servo motor.

2.Check whether the camshaft is worn

3.Remove DME and disassemble PCB



4.Repalce fusible resistor on PCB



5.Replace triode 8201AG and fuel injection chip 40069



6.Repalce 625033 (communication chip) and BSD problem to replace JA1020

DPF Service Regeneration

Read the description carefully:

Tailpipe outlet exhaust temp will be greater than 300℃ during Service Regeneration.

To help prevent personal injury or property damage from fire or burns:

1.Part the vehicle outdoors and keep people,other vehicle,and combustible material away from it during Service Regeneration.

2.Do not leave vehicle unattended

3.Do not connect any shop exhaust hoses to the vehicle’s tailpipe

Press “OK” to continue



Apply the parking brake.

Start the engine

Transmission in park/neutral

The ECT Sensor must read Coolant Temperature 75℃ or higher.

Test could take up to 20 minutes.

Test completed when engine idle returns to normal.

Press “OK” to continue



Function may take up to 20 minutes and when it’s completed,RPM will be turned to normal idle position.



Current status of DPF Soot Mass will be displayed along with the engine RPM.



As soon as the DPF Soot Mass reaches 0%,RPM will drop to normal idle position.



Function completed,press “OK” to exit.

Click ICOM status and it will show you ICOM voltage,it mean connection build



If it show the “Update Firmware” option,it mean ICOM firmware update available.

Click “Update Firmware” and then click browse to load ICOM firmware update file

During updating process,all ICOM lights will flash.

When updating complete,click “Reboot” to restart BMW ICOM.

Build connection between Motorola HC908AZ60 and UPA programmer



Run UPA Programmer software click “New programming”



Select “Motorola MCU”–>”HC08”–>”MC68HC908AZ60”



Select Baud “7200”,Auto Baud Rate

Click “Read”



Then save the file on your PC

After then load the file you saved just now and open it with NYO 4.0 2017 to change mileage you want.



Back to UPA software to select “Motorola MCU”–>”HC08”–>”MC68HC908AZ60”–>”Program” to program the new file back to HC908AZ60
